Alternative Dispute Resolution

The European Union has set up a consumer support website so that consumers can present their complaints on any litigation in which they are involved. Therefore, Cenario Oeste, provides the information required so that the consumer can exercise their right to complain to an official, third and impartial entity to the process in question, called "Alternative Dispute Resolution Body."

The Alternative Dispute Resolution covers the mediation, conciliation and arbitration of consumer disputes in Portugal. The RAL entities are the entities authorized to carry out the mediation, conciliation and arbitration that must be included in the list of RAL entities provided for in Law 144/2015. These are independent entities with specialized staff, which, on the one hand, help the consumer and the company to find a friendly solution through mediation or conciliation or, on the other hand, if an agreement is not reached, allow a decision to be taken by arbitrators in a simple and expeditious process, through arbitration.

In the event of a dispute, the consumer may use a "Alternative Dispute Resolution Body":
